X-Ray Technicians (Limited Scope) perform radiological services on specific parts of the body.

The X-Ray Technologist program offered by the schools and colleges of Anthem Education Group teaches students the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology. They learn about disease processes and trauma and how they can impact various body systems. Emphasis is placed on the skeletal and respiratory systems.

(This program is also known as Basic X-Ray Machine Operator and X-ray Technician and Practical Technologist in Radiology, depending on the Anthem Education Group campus.)

Students in all our x-ray programs study theory and concepts of radiographic physics. They are taught patient care procedures and basic office administrative procedures.

Students who complete the Limited Scope X-Ray Tech diploma can compete for entry level X-ray Technician / Basic Machine Operator positions.

Health Information Management (HIM) is on the cutting edge of health care operations. It uses health information technologies to support health care facilities’ efficiency and financial stability. HIM creates and maintains electronic medical records, handles electronic billing and coding, oversees insurance appeals, and supports other functions that use health information technologies.

The HIM program provides students with a solid professional foundation to compete for entry-level positions in this field. It was developed with direct input from HIM professionals-supervisors, claims auditors, office managers, medical billing service managers, and employers. They told us what they expect from entry-level health information specialists. Anthem’s program is designed to give students the opportunity to learn these skills and more.

Health Information Specialists work in professional healthcare office settings, including private practices, hospitals and other facilities, insurance companies, billing services, and government agencies.

After successfully completing all required coursework, students are placed in externships in healthcare settings to gain real-world experience in the field.

Medical Billing and Coding specialists lead the national effort to automate medical administrative tasks.

The Medical Billing and Coding program offered by the schools and colleges of Anthem Education Group uses a career-focused approach to prepare students for entry-level billing and coding positions in medical offices and hospitals.

Students are introduced to medical billing and coding procedures, as well as professional coding practices. Coursework includes medical recordkeeping and documentation, medical office procedures, and healthcare reimbursement and legal issues.

Students who graduate from the program are candidates for entry-level positions in the medical billing and coding field.

Medical Assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks in the offices and clinics of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and optometrists. In small practices, they are "generalists," who handle both administrative and clinical duties and report directly to an office manager, physician, or other health practitioner. Those in large practices tend to specialize in a particular area under the supervision of department administrators. What does our Medical Assistant program offer you?

• Theory and practical application in the fundamentals of medical diagnostic techniques
• Study of the anatomy and physiology of the body and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Knowledge of standard clinical and laboratory procedures
• Training with regard to venipuncture, injections, electrocardiography (EKG), measurement of vital signs, and preparation for physical and specialty exams

• An introduction to medical insurance coding and claim processing
• An externship in a medical facility

A Massage Therapist uses manual therapeutic techniques to massage soft tissues (such as muscle) that have been affected by stress, injury and illness. The primary goal of massage therapy is to loosen and relax muscles and their surrounding connective tissue coverings, and relieve the painful muscle tension that inevitably erodes your energy level. What does our Massage Therapy program offer you?

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology in relation to soft tissue injury and treatment
• Supervised training in traditional Swedish massage and other treatments like hydrotherapy, sports massage, deep tissue massage, chair massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage and spa treatments
• Direction for the use of proper body mechanics for injury prevention
• Education in nutrition, stress management and wellness
• Training in first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Comprehensive study of skills needed to start and operate a Massage Therapy business
• Supervised Clinic in a clinical setting

Dental Assistants deliver patient care, laboratory, and office services in dental practices.

The Dental Assistant program offered by the schools and colleges of Anthem Education Group, also called Dental Assisting at some campuses, uses a career-focused approach to prepare students for entry-level positions in dental offices and clinics.

Students are introduced to dental science and learn basic dental office laboratory and administrative procedures. They receive hands-on training in chair side skills, as well as instrument and tray set up.

Students who graduate from the Dental Assistant program are candidates for entry-level positions as chair side assistants and dental receptionists.

The Pharmacy Technology program offered by the schools and colleges of Anthem Education Group provides extensive hands-on training for students preparing to enter the pharmacy technician field.

Courses focus on pharmacy technician operations—including working in different pharmacy settings, state and federal law, and ethical issues—as well as general education courses. Depending on the campus, the program may be called Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technology, or Pharmacy Assistant.

Students who complete the Pharmacy Technology program can compete for several types of entry-level technician positions in hospital, long-term care, and retail pharmacy settings.
