Master Programs at Baker College OnlineThe Master of Science in Information Systems degree is designed for information systems professionals responsible for managing the development, acquisition, implementation, and operation of information systems in a variety of organizational settings. The program emphasizes information systems theory and its application to business opportunities and challenges. Additionally, the program addresses mission critical issues such as strategic planning, risk management, financial considerations, project management, and quality assurance.
A Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology identifies and provides students with a critical path for professional development, credibility in the field, as well as a clear and defined professional identity in their area of specialization in psychology. This program addresses the study of behavior and performance in the workplace and other organizational settings, through the application of the theories, methods, and principles of psychology to individuals, teams, and organizations. This specialization is not intended to prepare you for licensure as a professional psychologist, but rather to apply psychological principles for organizational success.
This program provides the skills and knowledge required to be successful throughout a challenging and rewarding career within a supply chain management occupation. Graduates will have opportunities that utilize a multitude of talents and skills, providing an invigorating and exciting career that never grows stagnant. Potential occupations include demand planner, project manager, vendor managed inventory analyst, logistics analyst, warehouse management, production planner, and transportation specialist. According to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the supply chain management industry is one of the fastest growing industries within the United States and the world with logistics alone accounting for 9.5% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product. Students finishing this program will have completed a well rounded curriculum including business and general education cores, as well as the major core that examines all aspects of the industry from raw materials to end users and everything in between. Global perspectives combined with cultural diversity are interwoven within the curriculum creating an awareness of today s business environment that the students will ultimately compete within.
This program prepares graduates for criminal justice-related careers at the federal, state, and local levels. The program is designed to meet the professional standards of the corrections and criminal justice fields, and follows the standards of the Michigan Corrections Officers Training Council.
Computer software engineers design and develop software by applying the theories and principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to create, test, and evaluate the software applications and systems that make computers work. In this program, students will acquire skills in software application development focusing on solutions for mobile devices across multiple platforms including Android, iOS (Apple) and Windows. The postbaccalaureate certificate in Accounting program provides students with a bachelor’s degree who wish to complete the educational requirements for the CPA exam the additional education needed to meet Michigan’s educational requirements.
