The Pharmaceutical Technician Diploma Program is designed for students who desire training in an occupational career. The diploma course is designed to provide the students the basic knowledge and clinical skills for gaining employment at an entry-level in a community pharmacy operation and an institutional pharmacy operation. Specific training is provided in dosage calculations, compounding and sterile processing, including aseptic technique, medical billing with prescription drug plans, and basic computer skills.
Students enrolling in the diploma program must have a high school diploma or a GED, in addition to successfully completing the entrance exam.
Students completing the courses in the outline, which is part of this application and who meet all other graduation requirements will receive a diploma in Pharmacy Technology.
