Learning to be a legal assistant is one way to get into the legal field without spending years to become a lawyer. As a legal assistant or paralegal you assume great responsibilities and work closely with lawyers. You may assist in drafting contracts and mortgages, prepare documents for hearings, trials and corporate meetings, and do critical research. While most legal assistants

The focus of the Court Reporting Institute - Online is to prepare students to become Certified Court Reporters by developing their machine shorthand speed to 225 words a minute and typing speed to 50 net wpm.  CRI - Online court reporting school provides the tools to build a solid foundation in English grammar and punctuation, legal and medical terminologies, anatomy, psychology, speech, courtroom and deposition procedures, and transcription via computer. A graduate of the Online court reporting program may seek employment as an official court reporter, stenographer, freelance or deposition reporter, or as a captioner.

The program consists of 120 weeks, 85 Quarter Credit Hours of Court Reporting training and associated lab work and 23 Quarter Credit Hours of General Education totaling 108 Quarter Credit Hours.
