There's a dramatic shortage of nurses. Nurses extend comfort and care in sickness and in health. Lincoln Tech's team of nursing instructors leads students through a comprehensive curriculum including extended care, maternity and child development, geriatrics, and gerontology. Day and evening classes are available. Clinical rotations start in the first module and include long-term care facilities, sub-acute facilities and hospitals too. Graduates are qualified to take the Practical Nursing Licensing Exam.

Surgical Technologists are members of the operating room team and assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses or other surgical personnel. During surgery, Surgical Technologists pass instruments to the surgeons and may hold retractors, cut sutures and help count sponges, needles, supplies and instruments. Hospitals still continue to be the primary employers of Surgical Technologists. Lincoln's Surgical Technologists A.A.S. Degree program includes hands-on training in the classroom setting as well as clinical externship in local hospitals and facilities. Pre-admission testing is required.
