The programs in Digital Graphics and Multimedia Design provide students with the skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the fields of digital graphics and multimedia design through intensive, hands-on training in the industry-standard software (including digital image manipulation, print and web publishing, and illustration software), general studies, theoretical foundations of visual communications (including principles of design, typography, and color theory), drawing skills, professional practices and entrepreneurship, portfolio development, and career/employment skills. Graduates will have an opportunity to select a concentration within the degree program to acquire further specialized skills and knowledge according to their interests and career objectives.
Graduates of the program will be employed in a number of fields, including junior, entry-level, and supporting positions in the fields of graphic design, commercial art, desktop and web publishing, and multimedia design at advertising agencies, design studios, corporate communication departments, web design and multimedia firms, and many others. They will also be prepared for advancement to a four-year program
