BS in Dental Hygiene Curriculum
The curriculum includes general education, prerequisites and dental hygiene studies. For this full-time program, the majority of classes are held on campus with some general education and prerequisite classes offered online and select core dental hygiene classes offered in a blended format with an on-campus and online learning environment. You will learn the skills of a dental hygienist in our simulation lab. Our lab workstations are equipped with artificial patients to simulate real-world settings. After several months of working and being tested in the simulation lab, you will care for patients in our on-site, no cost Dental Hygiene Clinic.

Demand for Dental Hygienists
Hygienists are in demand in general dental offices, as well as in specialty practices such as periodontics or pediatric dentistry. Both the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the California Economic Development Department project there will be continued demand in the labor market for dental hygienists.
