According to the Hawaii Department of Labor, the job market in social services, technology, as well as corrections should see positive employment gains between 2006 and 2016. Hawaii forecasts adding 490 jobs for social services assistants. In technology, network systems and data communications, analysts can expect 470 additional jobs. Computer software applications engineers and systems analysts can expect 230 new jobs in each category. Finally, Hawaii anticipates an additional 350 jobs in the corrections field to become available between 2006 and 2016 as well.
