Tour Fort Collins, Colorado College Campuses

by Richard Barrington | February 18, 2011

Fort Collins, Colorado has won dozens of accolades and awards for the quality of life it offers its residents and students, even making the top 10 of Money magazine's "best places to live" list three times in the past six years.

Situated on the Cache La Poudre River and at the base of the majestic Rocky Mountains, Colorado enjoys a moderate climate in which you can experience all four seasons while still enjoying an average of 300 days of sunshine a year.

With that great weather, you'll find plenty to do outside. Fort Collins has 20 miles of off-road hiking and biking trails and more than 30,000 acres of natural areas. With its proximity to the Rockies, you can also find first-class skiing just a short drive away.

Though it's smaller than Denver and Colorado Springs, Fort Collins offers a vibrant city life where you'll find nightlife and cultural attractions. In addition to over a dozen bars and nightclubs, Fort Collins has its own symphony and theater companies along with several art galleries.

Additionally, Fort Collins offers a range of educational choices in the form of degree programs and vocational training at local colleges and institutes. With so much going for the area, is it any wonder that tens of thousands of students choose the Fort Collins area for their college education?
