Interview with Dr. Marian Berryhill, UNR

Dr. Marian Berryhill, Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno, discusses academics and student life at the school.
The University of Nevada, Reno is located less than one mile north of downtown Reno and just outside of Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. The campus appeals to students that love the outdoors and offers access to a number of ski resorts, including Lake Tahoe.
UNR has state-of-the-art facilities that promote education, including its library that features video editing equipment and music studios. The Knowledge Center at the university offers a wide variety of cultural events, such as music lunches that showcase different musical groups on campus, as well as rotating art exhibits produced by students and local artists.
UNR employs professors that are extremely knowledgeable about their particular field and are enthusiastic about communicating their knowledge to the students. The entire faculty, including the psychology department, is comprised of active researchers who encourage students to participate in research.
Dr. Berryhill believes that students at The University of Nevada, Reno are motivated and focused on their areas of study, but are also involved with activities outside the classroom. Both students and faculty take advantage of the picturesque landscape that surrounds the campus by hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Students also enjoy cheering on the UNR football team at Mackay Stadium, which holds almost 30,000 spectators.
