Ever since Amazon announced last month that students can now rent digital textbooks with Kindle Textbook Rental, people have been abuzz with forecasts having to do with the fate of textbooks.

Whether or not textbooks will die tomorrow or some day in the distant future, one thing is for certain: college students will not miss them. In fact, a recent study shows that students would be willing to go to great lengths in order to never have to carry a textbook again—including giving up dating for a whole year!
